Inco Special Products is the leading supplier of nickel for the global battery industry. Committed to maintaining and extending that lead, we have established a battery testing facility to enhance our research and support capabilities.

We continue to find ways to improve our filamentary powders for battery electrodes.

INCOFOAM® nickel foam was originally developed for the high capacity nickel hydride batteries used by electric and hybrid vehicles. We are currently conducting research in order to further enhance the performance of INCOFOAM® nickel foam in this function. As well, we are exploring its use in electrodes and other advanced applications.

We have also brought to the market a range of micron size extra fine nickel powders – Types 210 and 210H nickel powders. These powders have uses as conducting additives in electrodes and, as a result of their higher surface area, in oxygen recombination.

Working with our customers, we’re continually looking for new ways to improve the performance of these products.
